The establishment of the LPKF Motion & Control GmbH has taken place in 1991 by highly renowned experts of the Technical University of Ilmenau in Germany. 

The company’s mission is the development and the fabrication of precise drive mechanisms and control engineering. The main focus lies on the simultaneous combination of extreme high precision und speed. In succession the systems built an efficient base for manufacturing and measuring systems. The staff is exclusively formed by highly trained engineers and technicians. Most of them are experienced in the domain of innovative precision drives for over 15 years. The company is part of the LPKF Group (about 230 employees) with the Laser & Electronics AG on top. The parent company allows access to the special technologies & know-how of Laser Shaping and Rapid Prototyping and is quoted on the German stock exchange.
